FORECLOSURES IN NEW HAMPSHIRE.
Interested in Foreclosures? Interested in Short Sales? Many buyers believe that buying foreclosures or short sales is the way to get a deal! This may or may not be true. Short sales can be cumbersome, time consuming, and can take 6, 8, 12 months or more depending on the issues that arise! This is a time consuming process so if you need to be in a home within a specific timeframe, short sales may not be the way to go.
Also, many foreclosures are sold "as is" and if you are a first time home buyer, "as is" may be a scary way to buy. If you are not "handy" or are concerned about radon, arsenic, mold, or hazardous materials in the State of NH, then "as is" may not work for you.
When buying foreclosures, BUYER BEWARE, because there may be no history that goes with the house because the bank now owns it! Buying from an individual homeowner, you can typically get an analysis and/or history from the current homeowner.
We strongly recommend you consult with a real estate professional and explore all your options!
